What is Sciencedump?
Sciencedump is a source for short, interesting and inspiring science videos. It started from a personal passion for science and technology. Everyone can submit a video and will be listed on the front page and other pages. Users can rate videos and post comments to share their opinion with others.
Why the name Sciencedump?
The name is a combination of our top subject (=science) and the concept of brain dumping. We also thought Sciencedump sounded catchy. That's why the submitted videos are called Dumps.
Can I view ScienceDump on my iPhone?
Yes! We have a native iPhone application for a better mobile experience, more info here.
Is Sciencedump also present in other online communities?

What type of video formats can I submit?
You can’t submit videos an actual video file. We support links to popular video hosting sites, the following are provided: Blip.tv, Dailymotion, Google, Vimeo, YouTube. The embedded third party content will be parsed and displayed in the correct way, including the appropriate thumbnails.
We also provide Custom URL support. This means you can submit a direct link to an online video file (formats supported are: wmv; wma; swf; flv; mov; mp4 & m4v). Automatic thumbnails are not supported with Custom URL, so in that case you are required to also provide an thumbnail image.
