The size of the observable universe in perspective
The universe is big, really big, the diameter is estimated at about 28 billion parsecs (93 billion light-years). As a reminder, a light-year is a unit of length equal to just under 10 trillion kilometres (or about 6 trillion miles). We have had some universe size videos in the past, this time we have a lovely picture collection made by Andrew Z. Colvin, thanks Andrew!
